About Us

Jane and Tilia became friends while attending film school together in Florida, in 2005. After Jane graduated, a period of estrangement, and a strange sequence of events leading to reconnection, they ended up spending a week of vacation together in London in the winter of 2007.

Over the following several months, as Tilia finished up school, and Jane both moved to Los Angeles and decided she hated it, they decided, exclusively of each other, to throw convention to the wind and move back to London. It was a happy surprise to find they would be making the move around the same time.

Sharing a knack for notable romantic expeditions and over-the-top experiences in general, the two came up with a brilliant idea, one day, in the summer prior to their move.

While trapped in a bookstore during a thunderstorm, they decided to launch a blog, under pen names, where they could safely chronicle their misadventures without having to censor, alter, or make nice. Moving to England would be the perfect backdrop to launch this blog, since the world has an innate fascination with the special relationship between American women and British men, and both Jane and Tilia are more than happy to test the dating waters of that particular pool.
